The Little Concert is an international chamber music ensemble based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was founded in 2022 by Emmanuel Frankenberg, bringing together a small group of friends who together form the ensemble’s core instrumentation, consisting of violins, viols, and continuo. The ensemble performs throughout Europe, presenting a variety of programs of 17th- and 18th-century music at various festivals and chamber music series.
The Little Concert emerged as a branch of the acclaimed Goldfinch Ensemble, a chamber music group that has performed at numerous festivals across Europe since 2014, winning multiple prizes. The Little Concert continues this legacy with a fresh perspective by introducing new repertoire, expanding the ensemble’s size, and welcoming new players.
